GPS 72H Owner’s Manual Marine Navigation1. Remove the bail mount knob.Bal mountknobBal mountSwvelbase2. Using the bail mount as atemplate, mark the location of thethree pilot holes on the mountingsurface.Bal mount3. If you are securing the base withmachine bolts, drill three 5/32 in.(4 mm) pilot holes.NOTE: If securing the base usingself-tapping screws, drill 1/16 in.(1.5 mm) starter holes at thelocations you marked. Starter holesshould be no deeper than half thescrew length.4. Secure the bail mount withthree bolts or screws. Do notovertighten.5. Align the mounting hole on thecradle with the holes on the bailmount and secure it with the bailmount knob.Installing the Mount in aSwivel Position1. Remove the base knob. Set thebase knob and the swivel baseaside.2. Remove the bail mount knob.Separate the bail mount from thecradle.3. Using the swivel base as atemplate, mark the location of thethree holes.
