Photosensitive Drum CleaningIn the primary transfer step, not all toner on the photosensitive drum is transferred tothe intermediate transfer drum, but some remains on the drum. The same is true of thesecondary transfer step, in which not all toner on the intermediate transfer drum is trans-ferred to paper—residual toner remains on the intermediate transfer drum after ITDcleaning. In the photosensitive drum cleaning block, the surface of the photosensitive drum iscleaned in preparation for the next printing run, thus ensuring continuous reproduction ofsharp images.Step 11 (photosensitive drum cleaning)In this step, the residual toner on the drum surface is scraped off by a cleaning bladein preparation for the next printing run.
