TheBC-10 Black BJ cartridge contains black ink only; the BC-11 Color BJcartridge contains both color (cyan, magenta, yellow) and black ink. Usethe BJ-10 Black BJ cartridge when you will be printing with black ink only.The actual amount of ink that you use will vary depending on the printdensity of a page. If the majority of your output is graphics, you may needto change ink tanks more often than when you are printing text only.You may need to replace the BJ cartridge or an ink tank when any of thefollowing conditions exist:o Your printed output is not crisp and clear, and there are gaps in thecharacters (missing dots) even after you have cleaned the print headonce or twice (using the quick cleaning procedure).o You have been using the BJ cartridge or ink tank for over six months.If you are using the BC-11 Color BJ cartridge and one or more colors are notprinting, an ink tank is probably out of ink. See the instructions starting onpage 113 for replacing an ink tank.C Canon makes numerous ink cartridges; the BC-10 Black and BC-11 Color BJcartridges are designed specifically for the BJC-70 printer and are the onlyones you should use. The BCI-10 Black ink tank is designed specifically forthe BC-10 Black BJ cartridge and the BCI-11 Black and BCI-11 Color inktanks are designed specifically for the BC-11 Color BJ cartridge; these arethe only ink tanks you should use in these cartridges.
