Good Battery Positive Post2. Good Battery Negative Post3. Discharged Battery Positive Post4. Discharged Battery NegativeGrounding PointThe jump start positive post (1) andnegative post (2) are on the batteryof the vehicle providing the jumpstart.The jump start positive post (3) andthe negative grounding point (4) forthe discharged battery are on thepassenger side of the vehicle.The positive jump start connectionfor the discharged battery is under ared cover. Remove the cover toexpose the terminal.1. Check the other vehicle. It musthave a 12-volt battery with anegative ground system.Notice: Only use a vehicle thathas a 12-volt system with anegative ground for jumpstarting. If the other vehicle doesnot have a 12-volt system with anegative ground, both vehiclescan be damaged.2. Position the two vehicles so thatthey are not touching.
