Theft-Deterrent FeatureTHEFTLOCK® is designed to discourage theft of yourradio. Your vehicle has a “built in” theft-deterrent featureon each radio that is automatic – there is noprogramming required. The radio in your vehicle cannotbe used in any other vehicle. When the radio wasoriginally installed in your vehicle at the factory, it storedthe Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Each timethe ignition is turned on, the VIN is verified. If thevehicle’s VIN does not match the VIN stored in theradio, THEFTLOCK® will be activated and the audiosystem will not play. If the radio is removed from yourvehicle, the original VIN in the radio can be used to tracethe radio back to your vehicle.Audio Steering Wheel ControlsSome audio controls canbe adjusted at the steeringwheel. They include thefollowing:y VOL z (Volume): Press the up or the downarrows to increase or to decrease volume.y SEL z (Select): While listening to the radio or to aXM™ Satellite Radio Service station, press the up orthe down arrows to tune to the next or the previouspreset radio station.When a cassette tape is playing, press the up or thedown arrow to SEEK forward and rearward throughthe tape.When a CD is playing, pressing the up or the downarrow to go to the next or the previous track.3-105
