2 Operation and Features40 Keysight U2722A/U2723A User’s GuideSource current operationTo set up the U2722A/U2723A for source current operation, proceed as follows.Keysight Measurement Manager operation1 Connect a load to the output terminals.With power-off, connect a load to the OUTPUT+ and OUTPUT– outputterminals of any channel.2 Turn on the U2722A/U2723A.The U2722A/U2723A will go into a power-on or reset state; the output isdisabled. Ensure that the USB interface has already been connected betweenthe U2722A/U2723A and PC. Load the Keysight Measurement Managersoftware to control the U2722A/U2723A remotely.On the application panel, choose the channel you have connected the load to,set the voltage range to either 2 V or 20 V, and select the current range.Otherwise, enable Auto Range for both voltage and current. Proceed to selectSource Current and click Output to enable the output. The button will turngreen. Clicking Output again disables the output and it will turn to gray. Referto Figure 2-2, Figure 2-3, and Figure 2-4 for the details.In source current mode, the current values between the meter and limit modesare the same, but the voltage values are not. The changes you make to thevoltage only set the input protection values.3 Ad just the slider for the desired output current.Adjust the slider or key in the value at Drive Current for the desired outputcurrent.4 Real time d isplay of the measured voltage and current.The application display panel will show the real time values of both the voltageand current of that channel as shown in Figure 2-3.
