Using the Self-Cleaning OvenTrivection ™ Wall OvenBefore aclean cycleThe oven door must be closed and all controlsmust be set correctly for the cycle to work properly.We recommend venting your kitchen with anopen window or using a ventilation fan or hoodduring the first self-clean cycle.Remove the broiler pan, broiler grid, allcookware and any aluminum foil from the oven.The oven racks and convection roasting rackcan be self-cleaned, but they will darken, losetheir luster and become hard to slide.Do not use abrasives or oven cleaners. Cleanthe top, sides and outside of the oven doorwith soap and water.Make sure the oven light bulb cover is in placeand the oven light is off.NOTE: See Cleaning the Oven Door in the Careand Cleaning section for instructions on how toclean the inner door outside the gasket. Thisarea is not cleaned during the self-clean cycle.IMPORTANT: The health of some birds isextremely sensitive to the fumes given offduring the self-cleaning cycle of any oven.Move birds to another well-ventilated room.Wipe up heavy soil on the oven bottom.(Appearance may vary.)• On double oven models, you can set a cleancycle in both ovens. However, the last oven setwill automatically delay its start until the endof the first oven’s clean cycle.• On double oven models, you can use timedbaking in one oven and self-clean the otherat the same time.How to setthe oven forcleaning1 Select FEATURES.2 Select SELF CLEAN. Select upper or loweroven on double oven models.3 Select the desired self clean.A 3-hour self-clean time is recommendedwhen cleaning small, contained spills.A self-clean time of 4 hours or longer isrecommended for a dirtier oven.LO (3 hrs) will self clean the oven for 3 hours.STD (4 hrs) will self clean the oven for 4 hours.ADJUST TIME allows oven to be set for anytime between 3 and 5 hours. Input the cleantime (to nearest 5 minutes) using thenumber pads and select ENTER.4 Select START.The door locks automatically. will flash untildoor is locked. The display will show the cleantime remaining.It will not be possible to open the oven dooruntil the temperature drops below the locktemperature and the (LOCK) light goes off.When the (LOCK) light goes off, you will beable to open the door.• To stop a clean cycle, press the CLEAR/OFFpad. When the (LOCK) light goes offindicating the oven has cooled below thelocking temperature, you will be able to openthe door.30
