23Be sure all controls are off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the range.Control KnobsThe control knobs may be removed for easiercleaning.Before removing the knobs for cleaning,please note that the knobs are in the OFFposition. When replacing the knobs,check the OFF position to insure properplacement.Wash the knobs in soap and water or avinegar and hot water solution but donot soak.If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tipdevice is reengaged properly when the range is replaced. When cleaning the cooktop,be careful not to snag the electrode ofthe spark igniter with your cleaningcloth. Damage to the igniter could occur.To avoid snagging a cloth on the sparkigniter, leave the burner heads in placewhen cleaning the cooktop.Be careful not to push in any cooktopcontrols while cleaning the cooktop.A slight electrical shock might resultwhich could cause you to knock overhot cookware.Wash burner parts with an all-purposenon-abrasive cleaner and warm water.Soak stubborn soil. Dry them with acloth—do not reassemble while wet.To reassemble, replace the burner headfirst, then the burner cap and finally theburner grate. Do notuse any sharp items to remove the film.Remove all of the film before using theappliance for the first time.To assure no damage is done to thefinish of the product, the safest way toremove the adhesive from packaging tapeon new appliances is an application of ahousehold liquid dishwashing detergent.Apply with a soft cloth and allow to soak.NOTE: The adhesive must be removed from allparts.
