Specifying Common Settings4-304Customizing SettingsIdentifying the Type of Paper in a Paper SourceThis setting enables you to specify the paper type loaded in each paper source. Once youspecify this information, icons indicating the type of paper loaded in each paper source appearon the paper selection screen.IMPORTANTBe sure to correctly set the paper type. If the type of paper is not set correctly, it could adversely affectthe quality of the image. Moreover, the fixing unit may become dirty and require a service repair, or thepaper could jam.NOTEFor the iR2018i, (paper drawer 2) appears only if the optional Cassette Feeding Module-P1 isattached. (paper drawer 3) and (paper drawer 4) appear only if the optional Cassette FeedingModule-Q1 is attached to the iR2030/iR2025/iR2022i/iR2018i.1 Press (Additional Functions) ➞ [Common Settings].If necessary, see the screen shot in step 1 of “Initial Function at Power ON,” on p. 4-15.2 Press [▼] or [▲] until [Register Paper Type] appears ➞ press [RegisterPaper Type].
