Make sure of the messagedisplay as necessary for checks.B Using Service Mode1) Open the front doors, and insert the doorswitch actuator. If you want to use such modesas I/O display mode while making copies, setappropriate copying modes.2) Press the service mode switch (SW921 on theservice switch PCB) with a hex key.• The machine starts service mode and indi-cates ‘$’ in the upper left corner of the mes-sage display.Figure 3-1001 (service mode switch)3) Press the key twice to open the Selectionscreen.Then, select the mode (Table3-1001) you wantto check or adjust.4) Press the / key to select the appropriatescreen.5) Make a check or adjustments.6) End service mode.• Press the Reset key ( ) once to endthe current mode.• Press the Reset key twice to end servicemode.• Service mode ends when the power switchis turned OFF or the power plug is discon-nected.
