You can also freelyadjust the sound-recording level.Set the sound recording with [Z2:Sound recording].[Auto] : The sound-recording level is adjusted automatically. Autolevel control will operate automatically in response to thesound level.[Manual] : For advanced users. You can adjust the sound-recordinglevel to one of 64 levels.Select [Rec. level] and look at the level meter while turningthe <5> dial to adjust the sound-recording level. Whilelooking at the peak hold indicator (3 sec.), adjust so that thelevel meter sometimes lights up the “12” (-12 dB) mark onthe right for the loudest sounds. If it exceeds “0”, the soundwill be distorted.[Disable] : Sound will not be recorded.[Wind filter] : When [Enable] is set, it reduces the wind noise whenrecording outdoors. This feature takes effect only withthe built-in microphone.Note that [Enable] will also reduce low bass sounds, soset this function to [Disable] when there is no wind. Itwill record a more natural sound than with [Enable].[Attenuator] : Even if [Sound rec.] is set to [Auto] or [Manual] beforeshooting, sound distortion may still result if there is avery loud sound.
