Preparations • 23First Time SettingsSetting the Date and TimeYou will need to set the date and time ofthe camcorder before you can startusing it. If the camcorder's clock is notset, the [DATE/TIME] screen will appearautomatically when the camcorder isturned on.When the [DATE/TIME] screen appears,the year will be displayed in orange andindicated with up/down arrows.1 Change ( ) the year and move( ) to the month.2 Change the rest of the fields(month, day, hour and minutes) inthe same way.3 Select ( ) [OK] and press tostart the clock and close the setupscreen.IMPORTANT• When you do not use the camcorder forabout 3 months, the built-inrechargeable battery may dischargecompletely and the date and timesetting may be lost. In such case,recharge the built-in battery ( 83) andset the time zone, date and time again.• The date appears in a year-month-dayformat only in the first setup screen.
