It providesinformation about tirepressures and the TirePressure MonitoringSystem.When the Light is On SteadyThis indicates that one or more of the tires issignificantly underinflated.A tire pressure message in the Driver InformationCenter (DIC), can accompany the light. See DriverInformation Center (DIC) on page 4‑61 for moreinformation. Stop and check the tires as soon as itis safe to do so. If underinflated, inflate to the properpressure. See Inflation - Tire Pressure on page 6‑59for more information.When the Light Flashes First and Then isOn SteadyThis indicates that there may be a problem with theTire Pressure Monitor System. The light flashes forabout a minute and stays on steady for the remainderof the ignition cycle. This sequence repeats with everyignition cycle. See Tire Pressure Monitor Operation onpage 6‑63 for more information.Malfunction Indicator LampCheck Engine LightA computer system called OBD II (On-BoardDiagnostics-Second Generation) monitors operationof the fuel, ignition, and emission control systems.It ensures that emissions are at acceptable levels forthe life of the vehicle, helping to produce a cleanerenvironment.This light should come onwhen the ignition is on,but the engine is notrunning, as a check toshow it is working.
