Viewing and Configuring RADIUS Settings 313Changing the password applies both to MAC users and to last-resortusers.All MAC address-authenticated users or last-resort users must share thesame authorization password on the RADIUS server.13 Click Next.Modifying a RADIUSServerTo modify a RADIUS server:1 In the content panel, select the RADIUS server you want to modify andclick Properties.2 In the IP Address box, type the IP address for the RADIUS server, in dotteddecimal notation.3 In the Key box, type the password (also known as a shared secret key)used to authenticate to the RADIUS server (1 to 32 characters long, withno spaces or tabs).You must provide the same password that is defined on the RADIUSserver.4 In the Timeout box, specify how long (1 to 65,535 seconds) the WXswitch must wait for a RADIUS server to respond before retransmitting.The default is 5 seconds.5 In the Authentication Port box, specify the UDP destination port to whichthe WX switch listens for authentication and authorization. The defaultport is 1812.6 In the Accounting Port box, specify the UDP destination port to which theWX switch listens for accounting. The default port is 1813.7 In the Retry Count box, specify how many retransmissions (1 to 100) aresent for a RADIUS request. The default is 2.8 In the Dead Time box, specify how long (0 to 1440 minutes) the WXswitch waits before attempting to reach an unresponsive RADIUS server.The default is 0 minutes.9 In the Authorization Password box, type the password used for outboundauthentication and authorization to a RADIUS server (1 to 32alphanumeric characters, with no spaces or tabs).Providing an authorization password is required only for users whosedevices are authenticated by their MAC addresses or for non-802.1Xusers of third-party APs. Neither of these user types has a regularusername or password. The default authorization password is 3Com.
