3 CopyXerox Phaser 3635MFP User Guide 51Both Pages: Use to scan and copy both pages of a bound document.Book Binding and Edges Erase: Use to erase shadows of a binding or bookedge from the left and right edge of the document.Original SizeUse this option to program the size of the originals being scanned or enablethe machine to recognize the size of the originals.Auto Detect: Use this option to allow the machine to automatically recognizethe size of the originals being fed through the document feeder.NOTE: Auto Detect is only available when there are originals detected onDADF.Preset Scan Areas: Use this option to specify the dimensions of thedocument scanning region when scanning from the document glass. Thereare several standard size dimensions that correspond to common documentsizes and orientations.Custom Scan Areas: Use this option to manually adjust the scanningdimensions using the scroll buttons.Mixed Size Originals: Use this feature to copy a document containing mixedsize originals. The originals must be the same width, for example 8.5 x 11"and 8.5 x 14". Load documents in the document feeder when using thisfeature.
