In elaborate networks, which mayinclude radios, responses could take more than 10 seconds to be received and displayed by theWAG.3.11 TRACING AN INTERFACEThe Trace command allows tracing of several interfaces. The user must specify an option after theTrace command or the following will be displayed:The user can enable or disable a trace of one interface at a time. This is accomplished by typingeither X, E, S, P, D, I, R or N after the Trace command. To disable a trace, the user would typetrace O.To Trace an Ethernet (XPort) Interface:The tracing of an interface provides the user the ability of displaying interface messages. Thisfunction provides the user with information in such cases where software or cable problems haveoccurred.Type trace X and then press Enter.
