The features that are availablethrough CTI depend on the CTI application software used on connected PCs.There are two types of CTI as follows:1) First Party Call Control2) Third Party Call Control1. First Party Call ControlA PC is connected to a DPT using a USB port (USB Module) attached to the DPT. The PC monitorsthe status of the DPT and controls the DPT.2. Third Party Call ControlA CTI Server is connected to the PBX using (1) the USB port of the PBX, or (2) the Ethernet port of theCTI-LINK card (KX-TDA100/KX-TDA200/KX-TDA600 only) or IP-GW4 card (KX-TDA30 only) as a CTIinterface. PCs monitor the status of the PBX and control the PBX via the CTI Server. When a call isreceived, the CTI Server can be used to decide call routing, and to send information about the call tothe destination extension user's PC. So, for example, if the call is from a customer, that customer'saccount information can be shown automatically on the screen of the PC at the same time as the callis received, depending on the CTI software used. In Third Party Call Control, the PC does not controlextensions directly.PBXPCUSBDPT
