390 G8264 Command Reference for ENOS 8.4User Access Control ConfigurationThe following table describes user‐access control commands.Note: Passwords can be a maximum of 64 characters.Table 171. User Access Control Configuration OptionsCommand Syntax and Usageaccess user <1‐20>Configures the User ID. For more command options, see page 391.Command mode: Global configuration[no] access user administrator enableEnables or disables the default administrator account.Command mode: Global configurationaccess user administrator passwordSets the administrator (admin) password. The administrator has completeaccess to all menus, information and configuration commands on the G8264,including the ability to change both the user and administrator passwords.This command will prompt for required information: current admin password,new password (up to 64 characters) and confirmation of the new password.Access includes “oper” functions.Note: You cannot disable the administrator password.Command Mode: Global configurationaccess user eject { name>|session id ID>}Ejects the specified user from the G8264.Command mode: Global configurationaccess user operator passwordSets the operator (oper)password. The operator manages all functions of theswitch. The operator can view all switch information and statistics and canreset ports.This command will prompt for required information: current admin password,new password (up to 64 characters) and confirmation of the new password.Note: To disable the operator account, set the password to null (no password).The default setting is disabled (no password).Command Mode: Global configurationaccess user user passwordSets the user (user) password. The user has no direct responsibility for switchmanagement. The user view switch status information and statistics, but cannotmake any configuration changes.This command will prompt for required information: current admin password,new password (up to 64 characters) and confirmation of the new password.Note: To disable the user account, set the password to null (no password).Command Mode: Global configuration
