TheLED indicator in the center of the buttonwill turn orange. Press it again to placethe CVR700 in Standby mode, and theLED indicator will turn red.If the CVPD50 is in use, pressing this but-ton will also turn the CVPD50 on or off,if it is plugged into AC power and itsmaster power switch has been turnedon. If the LED on the CVPD50’s front panelis flashing, then check that its masterpower switch is on (the “1” position).2 Sleep Button: Press this button toplace the unit in the Sleep mode. Afterthe time shown in the display, theCVR700 will automatically go into theStandby mode. Each press of the buttonchanges the time until turn-off in the fol-lowing order:When the Sleep timer is in use, the front-panel displays and other indicators willdim to half-brightness.3 Display Dimmer: Press this button toreduce the brightness of the InformationDisplay Ô by 50%, or to turn the dis-play off completely, in the following order:FULL BRIGHTNESS -> HALF BRIGHTNESS-> OFF -> FULL BRIGHTNESS.4 Disc Drawer: This drawer is used toaccess the five-disc magazine changer.While a disc is playing, you may load adisc into or remove a disc from anotherlocation in the changer. If you select thecurrent disc, it will first stop playing. Seatall discs carefully within the recess in thedrawer. Do not press down on the drawerwhen it is open, to avoid damage to theplayer. It is also best to open and closethe drawer by pressing the Eject Button6 rather than by pushing the draweritself.5 Disc Selector: Press one of thesebuttons when prompted by a message onthe Lower Display Line E and on theCVPD50 screen for a disc number afterpressing the Eject Button 6. If youhave selected the internal disc changeras the source device using the SourceSelector & or by pressing the DVDInput Selector d on either remotecontrol, and then pressed the PlayButton ! or Disc Direct Button a, the CVR700 will prompt you to entera disc number by pressing one of thesebuttons.6 Tuning Mode/Eject Button: Thisbutton’s function varies, depending onwhether you have selected the tuner orthe disc changer as the current inputsource. When the tuner is the source,press this button to select the functionof the Tuning/Preset Buttons 8. Eachpress will alternate between the tuningfunction and the preset selections func-tion, with the current choice displayedon the Lower Display Line E.When the tuning function has beenselected, each press of one of theTuning/Preset Buttons 8 will tune thenext higher or lower frequency, regardlessof whether an acceptable signal is avail-able. Press and hold the Tuning Button8 to scan up or down through the fre-quencies until a station with acceptablesignal quality is located.
