Scanning Using the Operation Panel of the MachineYou can scan documents to your computer by using the Operation Panel on the machine.z If you are using Windows XPThe program selection screen is displayed the first time you press [Color] or [Black] on themachine. Specify [MP Navigator 2.0] as the application software to use, check [Always usethis program for this action], then click [OK]. From the next time, MP Navigator isautomatically started.z When using Mac OS XFor the machine to start scanning when [Color] or [Black] is pressed, you need to set MPNavigator as the starting application software in Image Capture under [Applications] of MacOS X.If you are using Mac OS X v.10.3.xSelect [Applications] from the [Go] menu, then double click [Image Capture]. Click[Options] at lower left of the scanner window, select [MP Navigator 2.0] from [Application tolaunch when scanner button is pressed], then click [OK].If you are using Mac OS X v.10.2.4 or laterSelect [Applications] from the [Go] menu, then double click [Image Capture]. Select[Preferences] from the [Image Capture] menu. In this case, click [Use TWAIN software wheneverpossible] to uncheck the option, exit the Image Capture, then start itagain.
