Using Cruise Control on HillsHow well your cruise control will work on hills dependsupon your speed, load and the steepness of thehills. When going up steep hills, you may have to stepon the accelerator pedal to maintain your speed.When going downhill, you may have to brake to keepyour speed down. Applying the brake will take you out ofcruise control. If you need to apply the brake due tothe grade of the downhill slope, you may not wantto attempt to use your cruise control feature.Ending Cruise ControlTo end a cruise control session, step lightly on thebrake pedal.Stepping on the brake pedal will end the current cruisecontrol session only. Move the cruise control switchto off to turn off the system completely.Erasing Speed MemoryWhen you turn off the cruise control or the ignition,your cruise control set speed memory is erased.Windshield Wiper LeverWindshield WipersThe lever on the right side of the steering columnoperates the windshield wipers.7 (Mist): Pull the lever down and release it for asingle wiping cycle. The lever will return to its originalposition. For more cycles, hold the lever down beforereleasing it.9 (Off): Put the lever in this position to turn off thewipers.3-14
