Even when buckledup, the safety belts cannot dotheir job.The shoulder belt will not beagainst your body. Instead, it willbe in front of you. In a crash, youcould go into it, receiving neck orother injuries.The lap belt could go up overyour abdomen. The belt forceswould be there, not at your pelvicbones. This could cause seriousinternal injuries.For proper protection when thevehicle is in motion, have theseatback upright. Then sit wellback in the seat and wear thesafety belt properly.Do not have a seatback reclined ifthe vehicle is moving.Memory SeatsIf equipped, the 1, 2, SET, and B(Exit) buttons on the driver door areused to manually store and recallmemory settings for the driver seatand outside mirrors.Storing Memory PositionsTo store positions to the 1 and 2buttons:1. The ignition must be in ON/RUN or ACC/ACCESSORY.2. Adjust the driver seat andoutside mirrors to the desireddriving positions.3. Press and release SET. A beepwill sound.4. Immediately press and hold 1until two beeps sound.5. Repeat Steps 1–4 for a seconddriver using 2.To store exit positions and easy exitfeatures to the B (Exit) button,repeat Steps 1–4 using B to storeyour positions for getting out of thevehicle.
