Driving withthe clutch pedal applied can reducethe life of the clutch. Fully releasethe clutch pedal after each gearchange.REDUCED PERFORMANCE —REDUCE CLUTCH USEThis message displays and enginetorque is momentarily limited ifexcessive manual transmissionclutch slip is detected while theclutch pedal is fully released.Reduce clutch slip duringacceleration from a stop and duringgear changes to allow the clutch tocool. This should prevent furtherslips with the clutch pedal fullyreleased. If this message displaysrepeatedly, see your dealer.SERVICE TRANSMISSIONThis message displays if there is aproblem with the transmission. Drivingwith the automatic transmission fluidtemperature high can causedamage to the vehicle. Stop thevehicle and let it idle to allow thetransmission to cool. This messageclears when the fluid temperaturereaches a safe level.TRANSMISSION HOT —SLOW DOWNThis message displays and a chimesounds if the manual transmissionfluid is hot and if the vehicle speedis high.
