With the Keyless Accesssystem, the RKE transmittermust be in the vehicle. Pressthe ENGINE START/STOPbutton with the brake pedalapplied. When the enginebegins cranking, let go of thebutton.The idle speed will go down asthe engine gets warm. Do notrace the engine immediatelyafter starting it.If the RKE transmitter is not inthe vehicle, if there isinterference, or the RKEbattery is low, the DriverInformation Center (DIC) willdisplay a message. See Keyand Lock Messages 0 148.CautionCranking the engine for longperiods of time, by returning theignition to the START positionimmediately after cranking hasended, can overheat and damagethe cranking motor, and drain thebattery.
