Outside Automatic Dimming MirrorThe driver’s side mirror will adjust for the glareof headlamps behind you. This feature is controlledby the on and off settings on the automaticdimming rearview mirror.Outside Convex Mirror{CAUTION:A convex mirror can make things (likeother vehicles) look farther away thanthey really are. If you cut too sharply intothe right lane, you could hit a vehicle onyour right. Check your inside mirror orglance over your shoulder beforechanging lanes.The passenger’s side mirror is convex. A convexmirror’s surface is curved so more can beseen from the driver’s seat. This mirror does nothave a dimming feature.Outside Parallel Park Assist MirrorThis feature assists the driver by improvingrear obstacle detection and is useful in viewing thecurb when parallel parking.Press the left or right mirror symbol on theselector control to choose the driver or passengeroutside mirror. When the vehicle is shifted intoREVERSE (R), the selected mirror will tilt toa factory programmed position. If further mirroradjustment is needed press the arrows located onthe outside mirror control pad. If the outsidemirror selector switch is in the middle position,neither outside mirror will move.When the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE (R),and a five-second delay has occurred, themirror will return to its original position. The delayprevents movement of the mirror if multiplegear transitions REVERSE (R) to DRIVE (D) toREVERSE (R) occur during a parallel parkingmaneuver.131
