22INSTALLATIONCheck the appliance is electrically safe and gas sound when you have flnished.Range operational checksOven LightPress the oven light switches and check that the lights areworking.Note: The oven light bulbs are not included in the warranty.Check Ignition of Cooktop BurnersOperation of all cooktop burners should be checked after therange and gas supply lines have been carefully checked forleaks.Check each burner in turn. There is a spark ignition systemthat works when the knob is pressed in.For each burner, push in and turn a knob to the lightingposition.The igniter should spark and light the gas. Keep holding theknob pressed in to let the gas through to the burner for fewseconds.Quality of FlamesIf the flame is distorted, check that the burner head iscorrectly placed over the burner base.n MAKE SURE THE FLOW OF COMBUSTION ANDVENTILATION AIR TO THE RANGE IS UNOBSTRUCTED.n MAKE SURE ALL CONTROLS ARE LEFT IN THE OFFPOSITION.Oven Fan CheckPress the oven fan switch and check that the right hand ovenfan is working.Moving the Range for ServicingFollow these procedures to remove appliance for servicing:Shut off the gas supply and turn off the circuit breaker.Disconnect gas supply tubing to the appliance and unplugthe electrical supply cord.Note: A suitably qualified person should disconnect andreconnect the gas supply.The range is very heavy, so take great care. We recommendtwo people maneuver the range. Ensure that the floorcovering is firmly attached, or removed to prevent it beingdisturbed when moving the range around. You will need theleveling tool.Before attempting to move the range, see ‘Moving the range’Refitting the RangeReverse the above procedure to refit. If the gas line has beendisconnected, check for gas leaks after reconnection.Note: A suitably qualified person should disconnect andreconnect the gas supply.The service engineer MUST follow the installation instructionsprovided with the gas appliance connector and the warninglabel attached to the connector.If the range is removed for any reason, make sure that theanti-tip device is re-engaged properly when the rangeis replaced.
