Always use NEW flexible connectors wheninstalling a gas appliance.n Important• Remove all packing material and literature from ovenbefore connecting gas and electrical supply to range.• Have your range installed by a qualified installer.• Your range must be electrically grounded in accordancewith local codes or, in the absence of local codes, inaccordance with the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA 70, latest edition).• Before installing your range on linoleum or any othersynthetic floor covering, make sure the floor coveringcan withstand 80 °C (180 °F) without shrinking, warpingor discoloring. Do not install the range over carpetingunless a sheet of ¼’’ thick plywood or similar insulator isplaced between the range and carpeting.• Make sure the wall coverings around the range canwithstand heat generated by the range up to 90 °C(200 °F).• Avoid placing cabinets above the range.• If a ventilating hood is installed above the range followthe installation instructions supplied with the hood.• Items of interest to children should not be stored abovea range – children climbing on the range to reach itemscould be seriously injured.• Always disconnect the power to the appliance beforeany type of servicing.Converting to Propane GasThis appliance is supplied set for Natural gas.A conversion kit for Propane gas is supplied with the range.If the appliance is to be converted this must be done beforeinstallation. The conversion must be performed by a qualifiedLP gas installer. See the Conversion section at the back of thisinstallation manual for more details.Location of the RangeDo not locate the range where it may be subject to strongdrafts. Any openings in the floor or wall behind the rangeshould be sealed. Make sure the openings around the base ofthe range that supply fresh air for combustion and ventilationare not obstructed by carpeting or woodwork.Your range is heavy and can settle into soft floor coveringssuch as cushioned vinyl or carpeting. Use care when movingthe range on this type of flooring. It is recommended that thefollowing instructions be followed to protect your floor.The range should be installed on a sheet of plywood (orsimilar material). When the floor covering ends at the front ofthe range, the area that the range will rest on should be builtup with plywood to the same level or higher than the floorcovering.7. Installation
