Remove the house fuse or openthe circuit breaker before beginning installation. This appliance must be supplied with the proper voltageand frequency, and connected to an individual, properlygrounded branch circuit, protected by a circuit breaker ortime-delay fuse, as noted on the rating plate.Wiring must conform to National Electric Codes. If the electricservice provided does not meet the above specifications, have a licensed electrician install an approved outlet.Power Supply Cord Kit (not included)The user is responsible for connecting the power supply cordto the connection block located behind the back panel accesscover (Fig. 7-1).The appliance may be connected by means of permanent“hard wiring”; flexible armored or non-metallic shieldedcopper cable (please check local National Electrical Codes).Risk of fire or electrical shock exists if an incorrect size rangecord kit is used, the Installation Instructions are not followed,or the strain relief bracket is discarded. The connection cord MUST HAVE 4 conductors – (cords with3 conductors are NOT ALLOWED – connection of an EarthStrap between Neutral and the Chassis Ground on Dual FuelCookers is not allowed). The Terminal on the end of eachconductor must be either a closed loop or open spade lugwith upturned ends.
