Disregard anyinformation about the software not applicable to yourchosen product. Please visit our web site atwww.xeroxscanners.com for the latest software updatesfor your Xerox DocuMate 250 scanner.• If your computer has AntiVirus or AntiSpyware softwarerunning, you may see messages during installation askingyou to allow the installation to proceed. Although themessages will differ based on the software your computeris running, in each case you should allow the installationto proceed. Alternatively, you can turn off the AntiVirus orAntiSpyware software before installing your scanner. But ifyou do, make sure to turn it back on again wheninstallation is finished.• If you already have a scanner connected to your computer,it is recommended that you remove that scanner’s driverprogram prior to installing your Xerox DocuMate 250scanner. While in some cases you can configure yourcomputer to have another manufacturer’s scanneroperational on your computer in conjunction with theXerox DocuMate 250 scanner, we do not recommend thisconfiguration as you may lose some of the driverfunctionality on one, or both of the units. You can removethese programs from the Windows Add/Remove programslist. Please refer to the user manual provided with yourother scanner hardware for instructions about removingthe driver and software for that unit.
