DocuMate 250 Scanner User’s Guide 29ScanningThe One Touch Properties WindowThe One Touch Properties window lists the available scan settingsand is where you select new settings for the Scan button. The OneTouch Properties window also contains special scanning featuressuch as scanning and burning to a CD, scanning and convertingtext directly into an HTML web page, and scanning with opticalcharacter recognition (OCR) that turns a scanned image into textthat you can edit.To open the One Touch Properties window, use either ofthe following methods:• Click the One Touch icon. It is located in the WindowsNotification Area at the bottom right corner of the screen. Then,right-click on the Destination Application icon.Remember that left-clicking an icon on the One Touch panelstarts the scanner scanning. Right-clicking opens the OneTouch Properties window.• Press, hold down, then release the Scan button on the scanner.The One Touch Properties window opens and shows the currentoptions selected for your scanner.NOTE: Some of the options on the One Touch PropertiesWindow (and other One Touch windows and dialog boxes) are“grayed out” and are not available. Grayed out options are notappropriate for your Xerox DocuMate 250 scanner.Right-click the icon to open the One Touch Properties window.Press, hold down,then release theScan button toopen the OneTouch Propertieswindow and seethe current scansettings.
