DocuMate 252 Scanner Userís Guide 95MaintenanceUninstalling Your ScannerTo uninstall the DocuMate 252 scanner, remove the scannersoftware first, and then remove PaperPort, or other scannersoftware.Step 1: Uninstalling the Scanner and DocuMate Software1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Settings, andthen click Control Panel.2. Double-click the Scanner/Cameras icon.ï For Windows 2000, click the Devices tab, select theXEROX DocuMate 252 scanner, and click the Removebutton to remove the scanner from the list. Click OK.ï For Windows ME or XP, right-click the XEROX DocuMate252 icon, and select Delete to delete the scanner from thelist.3. Unplug the USB cable from the scanner.4. Click the Back button in the toolbar to go back to the ControlPanel.5. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.ï Windows ME: The Add/Remove Programs Propertieswindow opens. Select the Install/Uninstall tab.ï Windows 2000 or XP: The Add or Remove Programswindow opens. Make sure the Change or Remove option isselected.6. From the list of programs, select XEROX DocuMate 252.ï Windows ME: Click the Add/Remove button.ï Windows 2000 or XP: Click the Change/Remove button.7. On the Xerox DocuMate 252 InstallShield Wizard window,select Remove and then click Next.8. On the Confirm Uninstall window, click OK.9. On the Maintenance Complete window, click Finish.The DocuMate software is removed from your computer.10. Close all open windows and restart your computer.
