It is recommended that the air flows beadjusted without having to choke the air flows at the valves. This is the most energy-efficient set up.First, set both values as close to the ideal value as possibleby looking at the supply and extract air fan curves. If theratio between the air flows is very high at first, the ventilationunit may have to carry out extra defrosting cycles in sub-zerotemperatures, thus making adjustment of the air flows morecomplicated. Check the air flows by measuring them at thevalves, and fine-tune the percentage values as required.NOTEIf the outside air is extremely cold (below -10°C on analuminium cell or below -3°C on a plastic cell), the ventilationunit may have to defrost the heat recovery cell. If thishappens, the Defrosting icon will be displayed on the controlpanel. The air flows cannot be adjusted during defrosting.Adjusting the supply and extract air flows1. Use the Plus and Minus buttons to set the supply air fanratio as a percentage of the maximum output ratio. Thefan speed (1/min) will change accordingly.2. Measure and adjust the supply air flows from the valves.3. Press the Right arrow button.4. Use the Plus and Minus buttons to set the extract air fanratio as a percentage of the maximum output ratio. Thefan speed (1/min) will change accordingly. Measure andadjust the extract air flows from the valves.5. Select OK. Supply and extract air flow settings are nowcomplete.6. Record the set percentages in the measurement log.Do not change the output ratio between the supply andextract air fans once the settings are complete. The sameratio is also used in the Away and Boost profiles.TIPYou can browse the Basic fan settings by using the Rightarrow button.NOTEIf the use of the ventilation unit has been started before airflow adjustment, we recommend that the factory settings ofthe ventilation unit be restored before adjustment is started(see “Save and restore settings”). This ensure that the unitsettings are optimal for adjusting the air flows and that anysettings made during the adjustment are saved as setupsettings. Any later changes will be saved as user settings. Both the setup and user settings can be restored later evenif the settings had been modified later.IMPORTANTThe supply and extract airsettings have been completedby a specialist during setupof the ventilation unit. Thesesettings should be changedonly when the ventilationunit is reconfigured, and notat any other time. Changingthe ventilation settings sothat overpressure is createdcan result in damage to thestructures of the building.
