Thisenables you to play back interactive software usingmenu screens. Refer to the informationaccompanying the Video CD.Ver.1.1 (without PBC function): You can still enjoyplayback of pictures and music from the CD.Ver.2.0 (with PBC function): “Pbc” will appear on thescreen and display when playing back a Video CDwith the PBC function.Hint• When playing back Video CDs with the PBCfunction, “Pbc” is displayed instead of the playingback time and current track indications on the frontpanel display.Note• Some operations cannot be performed unless thefunction is cancelled either automatically orintentionally by you.• Operations that are not available when the PBCfunction is set to “ON” are indicated by the followingsymbol in this manual:Playing Back a Video CD Using theTitle Menu1 When playing back a Video CD withthe PBC function, the Title menu willappear automatically.2 Press [the Number buttons] to selectthe desired title.Playback will start at the selected title.3 Press [RETURN] to go back to theTitle menu.Note• While the On-Screen Display appears, you cannotperform steps 2 and 3.Cancelling and Recalling the PBCFunctionInsert a Video CD.1 In stop mode, press [SETUP].2 Select “CD Playback Mode” using[U / D], then press [ENTER].3 Select “PBC (Video CD only)” using[U / D], then press [ENTER].4 Select “OFF” using [U / D], thenpress [ENTER].5 Press [SETUP] to exit.To recall the PBC function, select “ON” at step 4above.Note• The default setting of “PBC (Video CD only)” is“ON”.VCDVCDVCDVCDVCD(PBC OFF)VCDVCDVCDVCDVCD(PBC OFF)CD Playback ModeRandom PlayProgram PlaySlide ShowPBC (Video CD only)E9GA0BD_EN.book Page 47 Monday, March 26, 2007 10:14 AM
