91Receiving a Call from a Remote PartyReceiving a Call from a Remote PartyOperations for answering a call differ depending on the setting of the answermode.Auto answer modeThe system automatically receives a call from a remote party and you can startconferencing. Although no operation is necessary to start, the picture on thelocal site will be displayed on the remote site screen even if you are not readyto begin.Manual answer modeWhen there is an incoming call, the Communication Terminal rings. You needto connect the call manually before starting the conference.You can start it whenever you are ready.• You cannot answer the call unless the power switch on the Communication Terminalis set to on (@).• Make sure that the TV monitor is turned on. If you insert the IR repeater under theremote sensor on the Sony TV, set the TV to standby mode.For setting of the answer mode, see “Auto Answer” in the Answer Setup menuon page 49.To answer a call in auto answer modeWhen you receive a call, the Communication Terminal rings and the message“Incoming Call” appears on the monitor screen. The system is automaticallyconnected and the picture of the remote party is displayed on the local monitorscreen and the sound is heard.
