228 TroubleshootingTroubleshootingIf the Communication Terminal does not function correctly, check the following.Symptom Cause SolutionThe power is notturned on.The power switch is not set to on. Set the power switch to on (@) (page30).The batteries in the RemoteCommander are low or dead.Replace the batteries with new ones(page 28).Three indicators onthe front of theCommunicationTerminal blink.The fan inside the terminal stops. Turn off the system immediately andconsult with Sony dealer.No sound or thevolume is very low.The volume of the system is toolow.Adjust the sound volume by pressingthe VOLUME +/– buttons on theRemote Commander (page 34).The volume of the TV monitor istoo low.Adjust the volume of the TV monitor.The microphone on the remoteparty is turned off.Ask the remote party to turn on themicrophone.“Mic Select” is not set properly. Set up “Mic Select” properlyaccording to the microphone to beused (page 53).Audio input is not selectedproperly.Set up “Input Select” properly (page53).The microphone or externalequipment is not connectedcorrectly.Check the connection (pages 133, 141and 149).Picture is blurred. Manual focus is selected but pictureremains blurred.Adjust the focus (page 99).When auto focus is selected, thebackground is too bright, contrast istoo high, or the background or theparticipants’ clothes contain fineline patterns.Select manual focus and adjustmanually (page 100).
