G ETTING STARTED1.26When you select SmarThru networking, you can elect toinstall it as a Server, a Client or both.The Server option allows you to share a local fax modemand/or a scanner over a LAN. You can control sharing bymanaging a remote service user. The Client option allowsyou to use Remote Fax or Remote Scan services providedby a SmarThru Server over a LAN. You need to have a clientaccount provided by the server. For details about RemoteFax/Scan Services, refer to the SmarThru User’s Guide.8 Follow the on-screen instructions to complete theinstallation.9 When the installation is finished, click Finish. |
