Computer Interfacing19English8 Follow the on-screen instructions if the wizardwindows appear.• If the wizard window is displayed to selectthe file (##.inf) for the printer driver inWindows XP, select “windows\inf\oem##.inf”.• If the wizard window is displayed to connectto the Windows Update in Windows XP SP2,select [No].• If the warning dialog is displayed inWindows 2000 / Windows XP, select [Yes] or[Continue Anyway] to continue theinstallation. In Windows Vista, no warningwindow is displayed and installation willcontinue.• The new hardware wizard windows may bedisplayed several times depending on theoperating system.• For Windows 98 or Windows Me, a floppydisk or CD-ROM for installing the operatingsystem may be required.9 When the installation is completed, click [OK].Note• If the Panaboard is powered on and connectedto the computer with a USB cable when [Exit] isclicked after the installation is completed, theBoard Image Capture software will automaticallystart in Windows 2000 / Windows XP / WindowsVista. (For further details, refer to “Scanningwith the Board Image Capture” on page 20.)■ Installing Quick Image Navigator /Panasonic-DMSAfter confirming your operating system, install thesoftware.For Windows 2000 / Windows XP / Windows Vista:Quick Image NavigatorFor Windows 98 / Windows Me: Panasonic-DMSIf Panasonic-DMS is already installed, you do notneed to uninstall it.1 Power on your computer and start Windows.• Log on as an administrator for Windows2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista.2 Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.The Setup window appears automatically.• Depending on the operating system or thesettings that you are using, the Setupwindow may not appear automatically.In such a case, double-click “Menu.exe” inthe CD-ROM from the Explorer.• If the Autoplay dialog box appears inWindows Vista, click “Run Menu.exe”.3 When “Welcome” window appears, click[Next].4 Click [Download Quick Image Navigator].• To download Quick Image Navigator andPanasonic-DMS, your computer must beable to access the Internet.5 Download the desired software from theappropriate download web site, then double-click the downloaded installer.6 Follow the on-screen instructions whenmessages appear.7 When the setup process is completed, restartWindows.• For information about Quick Image Navigatoror Panasonic-DMS, refer to thecorresponding operating instructions, whichcan be downloaded from the web site.• To read the Quick Image Navigator operatinginstructions or the Panasonic-DMS operatinginstructions, Adobe Reader or AcrobatReader must be installed on your computer.■ Removing Drivers / Board ImageCapture / Quick Image NavigatorIf you need to remove the USB driver, printer driver,TWAIN driver, Board Image Capture and Quick ImageNavigator, perform the following steps.
