No.: U.K. 08700 100 076 R.O.I. 01289 8333Important informationGeneralL Use only the AC adaptors included withthis product, noted on page 4.L Connect the base unit AC adaptor to a220–240 V AC outlet only.L Connect the charger AC adaptor to a 230–240 V AC outlet only.L This product is unable to make calls when:– The portable handset battery needsrecharging or has failed.– There is a power failure.– The key lock feature is turned on.– The direct call feature is turned on (onlythe phone number stored in the unit asthe direct call number can be called).– The call bar feature is turned on (onlyphone numbers stored in the unit asemergency numbers can be called).L Do not open the base unit, charger, orhandset (other than to replace thebattery).L This product should not be used nearemergency/intensive care medicalequipment and should not be used bypeople with pacemakers.L Care should be taken that objects do notfall onto, and liquids are not spilled into,the unit. Do not subject this product toexcessive smoke, dust, mechanicalvibration or shock.EnvironmentL Do not use this product near water.L This product should be kept away fromheat sources such as radiators, cookers,etc. It should also not be placed in roomswhere the temperature is less than 5 °C orgreater than 40 °C.L The AC adaptors are used as the maindisconnect devices. Ensure that the ACoutlets are located/installed near the unitand are easily accessible.Warning:L To prevent the risk of electrical shock, donot expose this product to rain or anyother type of moisture.LocationL For maximum distance and noise-freeoperation, place your base unit:– Away from electrical appliances such asTVs, radios, personal computers orother phones.– In a convenient, high and centrallocation.L You can increase the range of the baseunit by using a DECT repeater. Consultyour Panasonic dealer for details. Beforeregistering the repeater to this base unit,you must change the base unit PIN to anumber between 9000 and 9999 (page32), then disconnect the base unit ACadaptor and connect it again.Battery cautionL We recommend using the battery notedon page 3. Use only a rechargeablebattery.L Do not dispose the battery in a fire, asthey may explode. Check local wastemanagement codes for special disposalinstructions.L Do not open or mutilate the battery.Released electrolyte from the battery iscorrosive and may cause burns or injury tothe eyes or skin. The electrolyte may betoxic if swallowed.L Exercise care when handling the battery.Do not allow conductive materials such asrings, bracelets or keys to touch thebattery, otherwise a short circuit maycause the battery and/or the conductivematerial to overheat and cause burns.
