SECTION FOUR - Service/MaintenancePage 68 961/962 INSTALLATION MANUAL Revision ASaving log dataOccasionally, the 961/962 may have a problem that requires looking at itslog files to determine the cause. If this happens, you’ll be prompted tosave the 961/962’s log files, which should then be sent to the NorthstarService Department. If you have any questions, call Northstar and ask tospeak with a marine service technician.To save the log files:1. Press the 56#4 key until you reach the 5'48+%'/'07 screen, thenpress the #$#5'5#0&.1) key.2. At the #$#5'(70%6+10 screen, press the 5#8'.1)5key.The SAVE LOG DATA dialog box appears.Figure 37: Save log data dialog box3. Insert the disk into the drive (either a floppy disk or a Zip disk), thenpress the %10(+4/ key. The SAVING LOG DATA dialog box appears,asking you to wait while the 961/962 saves the log data. This dialogbox is followed by the SUMMARY OF LOG DATA dialog box, showingthe number of log files saved.4. Press the %10(+4/ key to return to the DATABASE FUNCTIONscreen.Maintenance functionsCleaning the 961/962To clean the control head’s glass lens, use a commercially available glasscleaner. Periodically dust the processor, especially around its floppy or zipdrive and CD-ROM drive.
