SECTION THREE - InterfacingPage 52 961/962 INSTALLATION MANUAL Revision Aequipment, the 961/962 offers the flexibility of turning off the NMEA0183 checksum:1. At the PORT SETUP screen, press the %745142#& to highlight the0183 SUM field, then press the '&+6 key.2. Press the %745142#& to change the setting from ON to OFF.3. Press the #%%'26 key (or press %#0%'. to leave the optionunchanged).4. Press the 4'6740 key to go back to the PORT SETUP screen.Configuring the auxiliary portThe auxiliary (aux) port is a general-purpose port used to transmitdifferential corrections (interfacing with an external device that acceptsSC-104 differential corrections). If the 961/962 has an internal differentialreceiver, you can use the aux port to transmit its differential correctionsto another device that accepts them.To access the aux port options:1. Press the 56#4 key to access the SERVICE MENU screen.2. Press the 21465'672 key to display the PORT SETUP screen.3. Press the #7:2146 key.
