To request the current software update on a CD-ROM,call the Northstar Service Department. Installation instructions areprovided with the CD; be sure to read and follow these instructionscarefully.To ensure that you receive the correct CD-ROM, be sure to give theNorthstar service technician your current software version. To find theversion of your software, press the 56#4 key to display the SERVICEMENUscreen, then press the 241&7%6+0(14/#6+10 key. The softwareversion number is located in the PROCESSOR SN/REV field.CAUTION!You must always install software that is the same as whatyou have or newer. Installing older software will cause themachine to fail,and you will lose your waypoints, routes, andcharts.NOTE:Before installing any software upgrade, be sure to save theuser’s waypoints, routes, and user preferences to a floppy orzip disk.
