Section 3 OperationPart Number 000007646 11/10 9Room Key Card Activation1. User places ice bucket under ice chute.2. User places their hotel room key card into a slot onthe dispenser which is labeled “Insert Room KeyCard”. The room key activates the microswitch.3. The user then presses the Rocking Chute (Push forIce) for ice dispense. Pushing the ice chute activatesthe gearmotor.The room key card must stay in the slot for themicroswitch to remain activated.Coin Operated Activation1. User places ice bucket under ice chute.2. User places one quarter (U.S. currency only) intodispenser.3. The user then presses the Rocking Chute (Push forIce) for ice dispense.Pushing the ice chute activates the gearmotor. Ice willdispense for up to one minute for each 25 cent activationper factory setting.AdjustmentsADJUSTING THE COIN MECHANISM TIMER1. Remove the control box cover. On the inside of thecontrol box there is a white instruction label whichshows how to set intervals for coin mechanismdispense times.2. Inside the control box, the coin mechanism timer isto the left. The ice agitation timer is to the right.3. With a small Phillips head screwdriver, adjust thecoin mechanism timer. For timer adjustmentreference information, see below or refer to thewhite instruction label inside the control box cover.4. The timer is factory set at the midpoint for 60seconds of dispense time. The adjustment pot canbe set (counterclockwise) for as low as 12 secondsof dispense time. The adjustment pot can be set(clockwise) for as high as 120 seconds of dispensetime.ADJUSTING THE COIN MECHANISM FORCANADIAN COINS1. Remove the front panel of the dispenser. The coinmechanism can be changed while in place in thedispenser door, as shown above.2. Pivot the coin magnet housing section away fromthe rest of the coin mechanism.3. Using a small screwdriver, loosen the set screwwhich holds an aluminum plate in the coin magnethousing.4. Remove the aluminum plate.5. Using a metal screwdriver tip, pull out the magnetfrom the magnet housing. (The back side of themagnet has the stronger magnetic attraction.)6. The aluminum plate and magnet have now beenremoved from the coin magnet housing. Pivot theempty coin magnet housing section back into place.7. Reinstall the front door of the dispenser.ImportantCoin Operated Activation will accept U.S. quartersonly. No other coin is accepted and no change isreturned to the user. To allow use of Canadian coinsrefer to instructions in this manual.ImportantCanadian quarters are magnetic. Therefore themagnet inside the coin mechanism must beremoved so Canadian quarters will drop through thecoin mechanism.
