[Password] is no longer displayed on the SSID screen (instep 4).● Once you have connected to devices via the Wi-Fi menu, recentdestinations will be listed first when you access the menu. Youcan easily connect again by pressing the / buttons to choosethe device name and then pressing the button. To add a newdevice, display the device selection screen by pressing the /buttons, and then configure the setting.● If you prefer not to display recent target devices, choose MENU >[ 4] tab > [Wireless settings] > [Wi-Fi Settings] > [Target History]> [Off].Using Another Access PointWhen connecting the camera to a smartphone through the Wi-Fi menu,you can also use an existing access point.Also refer to the access point user manual.Confirming Access Point CompatibilityConfirm that the Wi-Fi router or base station conforms to the Wi-Fistandards in “Interface” (= 120).Connection methods vary depending on whether the access pointsupports Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS, = 14) or not (= 15). For non-WPS access points, check the following information.● Network name (SSID/ESSID)The SSID or ESSID for the access point you use. Also called the“access point name” or “network name.”8 Adjust the privacy setting.● When this screen is displayed, press the/ buttons to choose [All images], andthen press the button.● You can now use the smartphone forremote live view shooting, or to browse ortransfer images on the camera.9 Send an image.● Choose an image to send, press the /buttons to choose [Send this image], andthen press the button.● [Transfer completed] is displayed afterthe image is sent, and the image transferscreen is displayed again.● To end the connection, press thebutton, press the / buttons on theconfirmation screen to choose [OK],and then press the button. You canalso use the smartphone to end theconnection.● For remote live view shooting, choose [All images] in step 8.● All images in the camera can be viewed from the connectedsmartphone when you choose [All images] in step 8. To restrictcamera images that can be viewed from the smartphone,choose a different option in step 8 (= 31). Privacy settingsfor registered smartphones can be changed later, as needed(= 31).
