Turn Signal/Multifunction LeverThe lever on the left side of the steering columnincludes the following:• G Turn and Lane-Change Signals. See Windshield Washeron page 3-11.For more information on the exterior lamps, see ExteriorLamps on page 3-15.Turn and Lane-Change SignalsTo signal a turn, move the lever all the way up or down.The lever returns automatically when the turn iscomplete.An arrow on the instrumentpanel cluster and in theoutside rearview mirror willflash in the direction ofthe turn or lane change.Raise or lower the lever until the arrow starts to flash tosignal a lane change. Hold it there until the lane change iscomplete. The lever returns when it is released.If the turn signal is left on, a warning chime will soundand the Driver Information Center (DIC) will displayTURN SIGNAL ON after driving about a mile to remindyou to turn it off.Arrows that flash rapidly when signaling for a turn orlane change may be caused by a burned out signal bulb.Other drivers will not see the turn signal.Replace burned-out bulbs to help avoid possibleaccidents. Check the fuse and for burned-out bulbsif the arrow fails to work when signaling a turn.See Rear Underseat Fuse Block on page 5-101.3-8
