The vehicle can stillbe driven, but should be taken to adealer as soon as possible. See theinformation for the electric parkingbrake under Parking Brake (Electric)on page 9‑29 or Parking Brake(Manual) on page 9‑31. If amessage displays in the DriverInformation Center (DIC), see BrakeSystem Messages on page 5‑31.Antilock Brake System(ABS) Warning LightThis light comes on briefly when theengine is started.If the light does not come on, have itfixed so it will be ready to warn ifthere is a problem.If the ABS light stays on, turn theignition off.If the light comes on while driving,stop as soon as it is safely possibleand turn off the vehicle. Then startthe engine again to reset thesystem. If the ABS light stays on,or comes on again while driving, thevehicle needs service. A chime mayalso sound when the light comes onsteady.If the ABS light is the only light on,the vehicle has regular brakes, butthe antilock brakes are notfunctioning.If both the ABS and the brakesystem warning light are on, thevehicle's antilock brakes are notfunctioning and there is a problemwith the regular brakes. See yourdealer for service.See Brake System Warning Light onpage 5‑17 and Brake SystemMessages on page 5‑31.Lane Departure Warning(LDW) LightFor vehicles with the LaneDeparture Warning system, this lightbriefly comes on amber whilestarting the vehicle.If it does not, have the vehicleserviced by your dealer. If thesystem is working normally, theindicator light then turns off.This light comes on green when thesystem is on and ready to operate.When the system determines thatthe vehicle is leaving its lanewithout using the turn signal, thislight will change to amber and flash.InformationProvidedby:
