WARNING - Safety risks during work with gearbox lubricants (oil or grease)DescriptionWhen handling gearbox lubricants, there is a risk of both personal injury and product damageoccurring. The following safety information must be regarded before performing any workwith lubricants in the gearboxes.Warnings and eliminationWarning Description Elimination/Action-Hot oil or greaseChanging and draining gearboxoil or grease may requirehandling hot lubricant heated upto 90 °C.Make sure that protective gearlike goggles and gloves arealways worn during this activity..Allergic reactionWhen working with gearboxlubricant there is a risk of anallergic reaction.Make sure that protective gearlike goggles and gloves arealways worn.-Possible pressurebuild-up in gearboxWhen opening the oil or greaseplug, there may be pressurepresent in the gearbox, causinglubricant to spray from theopening.Open the plug carefully andkeep away from the opening. Donot overfill the gearbox whenfilling.-Do not overfillOverfilling of gearbox lubricantcan lead to internal over-pressure inside the gearboxwhich in turn may:• damage seals andgaskets• completely press outseals and gaskets• prevent the robot frommoving freely.Make sure not to overfill thegearbox when filling it with oil orgrease!After filling, check the correctlevel.-Do not mix types of oilMixing types of oil may causesevere damage to the gearbox.When filling gearbox oil, do notmix different types of oil unlessspecified in the instructions.Always use the type of oilspecified by the manufacturer!-Heat up the oilWarm oil drains quicker thancold oil.When changing gearbox oil, firstrun the robot for a time to heatup the oil.Continues on next page工控帮助教小舒QQ2823408167长沙工控帮教育科技有限公司
