1.2.5.7 Work inside the working range of the robotWARNINGIf work must be carried out within the work area of the robot, then the followingpoints must be observed:• The operating mode selector on the controller must be in the manual modeposition to render the three-position enabling device operational and to blockoperation from a computer link or remote control panel.• The maximum speed of the robot is limited to 250 mm/s when the operatingmode selector is in the position Manual mode with reduced speed. Thisshould be the normal position when entering the working space.The position Manual mode with full speed (100%) may only be used bytrained personnel who are aware of the risks that this entails. Manual modewith full speed (100%) is not available in USA or Canada.• Pay attention to the rotating axes of the robot. Keep away from axes to notget entangled with hair or clothing. Also, be aware of any danger that maybe caused by rotating tools or other devices mounted on the robot or insidethe cell.• Test the motor brake on each axis, according to the section Brake testingon page 34.• To prevent anyone else from taking control of the robot, always put a safetylock on the cell door and bring the three-position enabling device with youwhen entering the working space.WARNINGNEVER, under any circumstances, stay beneath any of the robot's axes!
