You can place a new page in the scanner, adjust theTWAIN settings for it, then click the Scan button in the TWAIN interface to continuescanning. At the end of the scanning batch, all pages from the first portion of the scan andsecond will be sent to the Destination Application.Choose this option if, for instance, you have been scanning a Black & White document butyou want to insert a color page into it. Instead of having to re-scan the entire batch, you canstop the current scan, change the picture type from Black & White to Color, then restart thescanning without losing the pages already scanned.Selecting Document and File Format OptionsThe format option you select determines the file format of the scanned document. Appropriate formatoptions and file types are available for the type of Destination Application selected for the button.The available options are for images and text.The Text Formats are for text file types. The names of the formats indicate their file types. See TextFormats on page 72 for details.Create Single Image FilesThe TIFF and PDF formats support multiple page documents. If you are scanning as a TIFF or PDF fileand want one file created for each image scanned, select Create single image files. Note that thisoption is automatically selected and disabled if you have selected a format that only supports singlepages, such as BMP or JPG.Image FormatsText Formats;TEXT is onlyone of severaltext formatsavailable.
