Samsung iDCS500 iDCS Keyset User Guide– 44 –ANSWERING ALARMSWhen the alarm rings, you will hear a series of short rings, repeated threetimes, and ‘ALARM REMINDER’ is displayed in the LCD.ß Lift the handset to answer the alarm. If you do not, the alarm will alertyou two more times at 5-minute intervals.Note: You can also select to have a specific reminder message displayed on yourkeyset. See Alarm Reminder Messages in the section “Display Fe atures”.ANSWERING THE DOORPHONEIf your extension is programmed to receive calls from a doorphone, you willhear a series of short rings repeated.ß Lift the handset or press the ANS/RLS key and you are connected to thedoorphone.ß If an electric door lock release is installed, dial 13 to unlock the door.CALLING THE DOORPHONE/ROOMMONITORYou can call the doorphone and listen to what is happening outside or in an-other room.ß Dial the extension number of the doorphone.You will be connected to the doorphone and you can listen or have a conver-sation.ß If an electric door lock release is installed, dial 13 to unlock the door.Note: If the Hot Keypad feature has been turned off, you must first lift the handsetor press the Speaker key before you begin dialling.EXECUTIVE/SECRETARY HOTLINEYou can program two extensions to have a ‘hotline’ between them, called theexecutive/secretary hotline. When the executive extension is in DND mode,all of its calls will ring the secretary extension.
