If the user forgets his or her password, it can be cleared by the operator or manager(LCS Password Control).• If an extension user is screening a call and then goes off-hook to answer it, the VPS will either stop orcontinue recording the message, according to system programming ( [620] LCS Recording ModeSet).• If a call arrives while an extension user is having a conversation with another party and the extensionhas Call Waiting activated, the user will hear a call waiting tone. After subscription, the voice mail system can answer callsautomatically instead of the PBX when the line is busy or calls are not answered, and callers can leave theirmessages in a mailbox provided by the telephone company.The Message/Ringer Lamp lights red and the corresponding Single-CO (S-CO) button flashes red atmoderate speed when a message has been recorded and stored in the mailbox of the telephone company.Going off-hook, pressing the red flashing S-CO button and then pressing the MESSAGE button allows aproprietary telephone (PT) user to access the voice mail system and listen to the messages stored in themailbox.This feature is available only for PTs.
